SMS consent & messaging verification
SMS Consent & Messaging Verification
How REG AI obtains consent and communicates with businesses and service providers by SMS.
Last updated: 2026-08-29
About REG AI
REG AI is an AI assistant service that helps registered users complete real-world tasks such as scheduling appointments, checking service availability, coordinating service details, and confirming reservations.
REG AI may communicate with businesses and service providers using phone calls, SMS, email, web forms, or supported agent-to-agent communication methods.
When REG AI sends an SMS message, REG AI identifies itself as the sender and explains that it is assisting a customer with a specific request.
Who receives messages?
SMS recipients are businesses and service providers involved in a specific task requested by a REG AI user.
- Auto repair shops
- Home service providers
- Contractors
- Salons
- Healthcare or appointment-based businesses
- Other businesses that provide services requested by a REG AI user
REG AI does not use this messaging program for bulk advertising, promotional marketing, lead generation, or unsolicited marketing campaigns.
How recipients opt in
REG AI uses verbal consent from the message recipient before initiating any outbound SMS communication. The recipient gives their own consent — a REG AI account holder cannot consent on a business's behalf.
- REG AI contacts the business or service provider by telephone regarding a specific customer request.
- REG AI identifies itself as an AI assistant and explains the reason for the call.
- Before sending any SMS message, REG AI asks the recipient for permission to continue communicating by text.
- SMS messages are sent only after the recipient gives an affirmative response.
- REG AI records the consent event, including the recipient telephone number, date and time, associated task, and affirmative consent response.
- Consent applies only to the transactional or service-related conversation associated with the request and does not authorize unrelated marketing messages.
Example verbal opt-in
“I'm REG AI, an AI assistant helping a customer with [service request]. May REG AI send you text messages at this number to coordinate this request? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time or HELP for assistance.”
REG AI does not send the initial outbound SMS unless the recipient affirmatively agrees to continue by text.

Opting out

STOP · UNSUBSCRIBE · CANCEL · END · QUIT
After an opt-out request, REG AI will not send additional SMS messages to that recipient unless the recipient later provides valid consent again.
Getting help
Recipients may reply HELP for assistance related to REG AI messaging, or contact us at support@regai.app or through our support page.
Message frequency and charges

Privacy
REG AI uses recipient contact information only as necessary to facilitate the specific service-related communication and operate the messaging service.
